Many Thanks
To Our Partners!
The
corporations listed on this page are those that contribute
"in kind" donations to our program on a regular basis. Some of these
corporations are also sponsors of the In Kind Canada program. Several
corporations have established special relationships and programs with
In Kind Canada, and these are listed immediately below. In Kind Canada
has also created special partnerships with
reBoot Canada and Altruvest,
charitable organizations working with IKC to provide benefits to other
charities. Further down the page we have show a list of donors that
have participated in our program with the donation of their surplus
assets. These are grouped by the total value of materials contributed
to the program.
We welcomed Bruce Power Incorporated as one of our latest
corporate partners in October 2001. As with Ontario Power Generation,
Bruce Power will re-direct surplus from their operations to In
Kind Canada. IKC on its part ensures that charities, especially
in the immediate area of the plant site, has access to this wealth
of material. The first donation from BCP included some 600 Pentium
1 computers, 88 printers and 311 monitors. |

In Kind Canada is delighted to have Diversity Investment
Sales Corporation as our partner and
sponsor for a second year. Through Diversity In Kind
Canada is able to access excellently produced un-framed artwork
for our charitable members. This year (2001) In Kind Canada
will have access to artwork under the theme "Children in Art".
This would be an excellent fund-raising tool for any charitable
agency associated with children and the needs of children in
Canada. For more information please go to the
Art In Action page.

The Bank of Montreal became one of
our special
corporate partners in the fall of 2000. The agreement with
BMO sees all computer and ancillary equipment donated to charity
through In Kind Canada. All such systems coming out of Bank
of Montreal facilities goes firstly to the bank's subcontractor,
Rider Computer Systems for the removal of data, proprietary software
and is serviced in the process. The equipment is then skidded
and shipped to IKC for onward distribution. Approximately 400
computers and computer related pieces equipment have been donated
to date. |

Ontario
Power Generation: For the past several
years IKC worked with OPG's predecessor Ontario Hydro, to distribute
surplus from within the corporation to our members. By the summer
of 2000 an agreement was in place between Ontario Power
Generation and In Kind Canada that would see a continuation of
the process previously established. Over the course of 2001 IKC
has processed between $250,000 and $300,000 worth of "in kind"
donations from this very special corporate partner. |

reBoot
Canada is a non-profit charity
providing computer hardware, networking and technical support
to charities, non-profits and people with limited access to technology. |
|
reBoot Canada takes old
computers and distributes them to charitable organizations.
To date more than 6,000 computers have been processed by reBoot.
For the past three years In Kind Canada has partnered
with reBoot Canada. Computer systems donated to IKC are serviced
by reBoot prior to being distributed to our members. This is
a valuable service to IKC and in return IKC provides computers
to reBoot to use in their program.

a registered charity, develops programs to enable charities to
become more effective and efficient in giving to their causes.
The most successful of these is the BoardMatch

business expertise, orients them to the roles and responsibilities
of board service, and introduces them to charities in need of
board members. BoardMatch has filled 137 board positions over
18 months in the Greater Toronto Area. BoardMatch & eLearning,
currently under development, will offer the program online available
"anyplace, anytime" across Canada. This web-based service will
be piloted early in 2002. |
