Born in
Stratford, Ontario in 1916, his art career has recorded a lifetime of
man's hardships. The list of his contemporaries he gives credit to, is
long and varied, but it is the Ojibway artist Arthur Schilling that the
clearest links and affinities can be seen. His books, "People in
Struggle" and "Art as a Tool and Weapon", are a strong
testament of this great artist's contribution to the art world. His works
are widely collected. |
